🌔 Does My Jaguar X Type Have A Dpf
I've managed to drive both the 2 litre R Sport XF and a 3 litre V6 XJ, as I wanted to experience both engines. I have to say the V6 is much the smoother power unit and it didn't appear to give me the kick in the back that the 2-litre turbo did. However, it was difficult to open it up on the road I was on. So, to my question.
so problem would be either the pressure sensor reading wrong value, HVAC sending wrong ref voltage to sensor, seleniod valve stuck, bad compressor or low gas. because mine is really cold on the move, I would say gas is fine.Ref voltage is 4.95v from SDD. So if I can read it using multimeter the pressure sensor should be bad.
Hello. if the ECU thinks the DPF is blocked then it won't allow full engine power so I'd suggest; taking the car for a long drive where you can keep the engine rpm up over 2000 rpm for around 30 mins this will get plenty of heat into the system and get the system into re-gen mode. if the DPF does need replacing then I'd try and get the warrenty
The thing about DPF cleaning is there are different types, and if the method used previously used the type of cleaning where they heat it to 1000 degrees or so in an oven, it will burn off the soot but not the ash so if you have a heavily blocked DPF, even removing it and cleaning it might not have worked correctly if they didn't use the most

The 2.0 never had a DPF and has a 5 speed box. The 2.2 Auto has one as standard. The 2.2 Manual DPF was a cost option and came with 6 cogs. Any car "getting on a bit" may show some signs of suspension wear, listen out for knocks, bangs, clunks and clonks over bumps and rough road surfaces.
First Name: Tim. Jaguar Model: S-Type. Year of Jaguar: 2002. Location: Warwickshire. Posted January 30, 2017. Check the Oil level, excess fuel 'wash' will cause the level to rise. High Oil levels could result in what's known as 'pull over' which could potentially cause a runaway engine condition.
Bodywork. The Jaguar X-Type was a well-made car, and in fact the Halewood plant won awards within Ford for the quality of its paintwork, meaning that even neglected examples will regain a lustrous shine with a proper buffing. External trim is generally long-lived too, while cloudy plastic headlamp lenses can be polished up successfully.
Hi alh2k, I bought the car in 2017 with 200 k on the clock and it had full service history from Jaguar. I have had absolutely no problems with the engine - it runs really well and smooth and I get on average between 7.0 and 7.6 litres per 100 km fuel ecomomy. I try to drive reasonable most of the time.
Red DPF warning came on alomg with the check engine light . Took the car out for a blast and the red warning cleared , but the check engine light remained on . Started the car the next morning and the engine warning light was gone . I followed OzXFR's advice about adding two stroke engine oil to the fuel and for whatever reason worked a treat .
Posted August 19, 2020. Hi Paul, There seems to be a rash of similar issues to yours (and mine!) over the last few days. My car is a 2011 XF-S Portfolio. Initial issue was the red restricted performance, and a gentle hissing sound when (trying to) accelerate. First attempt at a cure was to replace the turbo transfer valve, which was seized
2.2 x type engine is the same as this shape mondeo I bought as late a 2.2 Sovereign Estate as I could without DPF and it's a very nice cruiser and general hack with only just over 42,000 miles
In today's video I am going to explain how I regenarate Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) on Jaguar X Type.
Take off yer DPF. Rinse it through with a caustic soda solution to rinse out yer oily deposits. Mix up a 25% solution of brick acid (HCl). Run/rinse this through the DPF. Let it stand for 10 minutes. Drain. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Thoroughly rinse through with water. Let it drain.
A new DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) for the Mercedes Sprinter ranges from £900.00 – £1500.00 (+Labour & VAT). We can remove the entire DPF for a fraction of this cost and you’ll never have to worry about it ever again.
